George’s Employment History
George Costanza has had a long and varied employment history, holding many jobs over the course of the show. He has worked at a variety of places, including Kruger Industrial Smoothing, where he was fired for having sex in the office, and Play Now, where he was fired for taking advantage of a blind man.
George’s first job
George’s first job was as an assistant to the travel agent. He was fired from this job after it was revealed that he had made all the reservations for a week in Hawaii for himself and his friends, without telling his boss.
George’s job at the Yankees
George Costanza was famously fired from his job as a New York Yankees groundskeeper after he was caught urinating on the team’s dugout.
George’s Job Performance
George was employed by the New York Yankees as an assistant to the traveling secretary. He was let go from the job after it was revealed that he made a number of long distance phone calls on the team’s dime.
George’s poor job performance
George’s poor job performance leads to his firing from the New York Yankees. George is shown to be a poor salesman, with little to no understanding of baseball. Additionally, George is oftenia slacker, frequently taking naps at work and shirking his duties. This culminates in a meeting with George’s boss, Mr. Steinbrenner, where George is promptly fired.
George’s firing from the Yankees
George Louis Costanza is a fictional character on the American television sitcom Seinfeld (1989–1998), played by Jason Alexander. He has variously been described as a “short, stocky, slow-witted, bald man” and “the ultimate opposite of Jerry Seinfeld”. George and Jerry were childhood friends and remained friends throughout the series.George appears in all but two episodes: “The Chinese Restaurant” (in which he is waiting for a table at a Chinese restaurant with Jerry) and “The Pen” (in which he is mentioned).
George is employed in various capacities over the course of the series. He works as a sales assistant for Pendant Publishing in season one; as a freelance architectural drafter in season two; as an assistant to the New York Yankees owner in seasons three and four; and as a real estate developer in seasons nine and ten. In the show’s final episode, set in 1998, George becomes the manager of a Slim-Fast food store.

George’s reaction to being fired
George was in disbelief that he had been fired from the Yankees. He thought that he had done a good job and was an asset to the team. He was so shocked that he didn’t know how to react.
George’s new job
George is elated when New York Yankees owner George Steinbrenner hires him as the new assistant to the travelling secretary. However, his happiness is short-lived when Steinbrenner’s son, Skull, tells him that his position has been eliminated. Costanza then gives a tearful speech at the Yankee Stadium press conference announcing his firing.
