Yankees
The Yankees are a baseball team that is located in the Bronx, New York City. The team is also a part of the American League East division in Major League Baseball (MLB). The Yankees have won 27 World Series championships, which is more than any other MLB team.
Babe Ruth
Babe Ruth is one of the most famous baseball players of all time. He began his career with the Boston Red Sox, but was sold to the New York Yankees in 1919. He played with the Yankees for the remainder of his career, winning seven World Series titles. He is considered one of the greatest players in baseball history.
Lou Gehrig
One of the most beloved Yankees of all time, Gehrig played his entire MLB career with the team from 1923 until 1939. He was a 6-time World Series champion, 7-time AL batting champion, and was elected to the MLB Hall of Fame in 1939.
Joe DiMaggio
Joe DiMaggio was one of the most iconic baseball players of all time, playing for the New York Yankees from 1936 to 1951. He was a 3-time MVP and a 13-time All-Star, and he helped the Yankees win 9 World Series titles. He is also famous for his 56-game hitting streak, which is still a Major League Baseball record. After his retirement from baseball, DiMaggio worked as a businessman and an occasional actor.
Red Sox
The Boston Red Sox are a Major League Baseball team based in Boston, Massachusetts. The Red Sox are members of the American League East Division. The team has won nine World Series championships, the most of any team in the Major Leagues.
Ted Williams

Ted Williams is one of the most iconic players in Boston Red Sox history. He played his entire 19-year career with the Sox, winning six batting titles and two Triple Crowns. He was a 19-time All-Star and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1966.
Interestingly, Williams also had a brief stint with the rival New York Yankees. In 1961, Williams was persuaded to come out of retirement by Yankees owner George Steinbrenner and play one more season. He played in 28 games for the Yankees before retiring for good.
Carl Yastrzemski
Carl Yastrzemski is a retired Major League Baseball player who played his entire 23-year career with the Boston Red Sox. He is an 18-time All-Star, a three-time Gold Glove winner, and a two-time AL MVP. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1989.
Wade Boggs
Wade Boggs is a former third baseman who played for the Yankees and the Red Sox. He was a 12-time All-Star and he won the American League batting title five times. He was elected to the Hall of Fame in 2005.
