The Incident

On July 22, 2019, a black cat ran onto the field at a New York Yankees home game against the Toronto Blue Jays at Yankee Stadium. The cat caused a delay of several minutes while it roamed around the outfield. Eventually, the cat ran off the field and into a nearby tunnel. The game resumed and the Yankees went on to win, 3-2.

The Aftermath

As the game ended, the fans around us started to leave and we were able to get a closer look at the cat. It was a scrawny, orange tabby that didn’t look like it was in the best of health. And it was definitely dead. A security guard came over and, after confirming that the cat was dead, started to prod it with his foot to see if it would move. It didn’t.

The woman who had been sitting next to us leaned over and said, “That’s so sad. I wonder what happened to that poor cat?” We all looked at each other and shrugged our shoulders. We would never know what happened to the cat at the Yankees game.

In conclusion, we may never know exactly what happened to Cat at the Yankees game. All we know for sure is that she disappeared and hasn’t been seen since. We can only hope that she is safe and happy wherever she is.
