The Yankees first played their home games in Baltimore, Maryland, at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. The team then moved to New York City in 1903, where they have played ever since.

They then moved to New York

The New York Yankees began play in the American League in 1901 as the Baltimore Orioles. They then moved to New York for the 1903 season, first playing at Hilltop Park.

They played in the Polo Grounds

The New York Yankees first played their home games in the Polo Grounds, which was also home to the New York Giants baseball team. The Yankees shared the Polo Grounds with the Giants until they moved to Yankee Stadium in 1923.

They then moved to Yankee Stadium

The Yankees began play in 1901 in Baltimore, Maryland, as the Baltimore Orioles (no connection to the modern Baltimore Orioles team). They moved to New York City in 1903, where they took up residence in Hilltop Park; a small wooden ballpark stretching from 165th Street to 168th Street, between Broadway and Amsterdam Avenue in the Washington Heights section of Manhattan.
