New York City is by far the most popular city for Yankees players to live in. There are a number of reasons for this, including the fact that it is the home of the Yankees, and that it is a large city with a lot to offer in terms of entertainment and nightlife.
Manhattan

Queens
The vast majority of Yankee players live in either Queens or Manhattan, with a few in Brooklyn, the Bronx, and even New Jersey. The main reason for this is simple enough: convenience. Most of the team’s games are played at the Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, and it’s just a short subway ride from Queens or Manhattan. Many of the players also have endorsement deals or other business interests in the city, so it makes sense for them to live there as well.

– Bernie Williams: Williams was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico but moved to Suffork County in 1991 when he was drafted by the Yankees. He spent his entire 16-year career with the team, winning four World Series titles. He now lives in Tampa, Florida.
Upstate New York
Most Yankees players live in upstate New York. This is because the Yankees have their spring training in upstate New York. Most of the players live in the same area so they can be close to the team and the facilities.

Buffalo
Located in upstate New York, Buffalo is the second largest city in the state with a population of over 1.3 million people. The Syracuse metropolitan area has a population of 662,577 and is the 27th most populous metro in the United States. The city is located in the west-central part of the state and is the economic and educational hub of Central New York, a region with over one million inhabitants.
