The field is located at 1 Steinbrenner Drive in Tampa, and it is considered to be one of the finest spring training facilities in all of Major League Baseball. The field can accommodate up to 11,000 fans, and it features 10 luxury suites, a party deck, and a state-of-the-art clubhouse.

The Tampa Yankees are a minor league baseball team based in Tampa, Florida. The team plays in the Florida State League, and is the Class A affiliate of the New York Yankees. The team is owned by Yankee Global Enterprises, which also owns the major league Yankees.

The team plays its home games at George M. Steinbrenner Field in Tampa. The stadium opened in 1996 and has a capacity of 11,026 people. It is located on Dale Mabry Highway near Legends Field, the spring training home of the Yankees.

The Tampa Yankees began play in 1994 as part of the Florida State League expansion. The team was originally known as the Tampa Tarpons. In 1999, the team was sold to Yankee Global Enterprises and renamed the Tampa Yankees.

The team has won four Florida State League championships, in 1998, 2005, 2007, and 2008. They have also won six division titles, in 1995, 1996, 2000, 2004, 2007, and 2008.

Fort Lauderdale, Florida

The Yankees have been training in Fort Lauderdale, Florida since 1993. The Yankees had previously trained in West Palm Beach, Florida from 1962 until 1972. George Steinbrenner bought the Tampa Bay area Minor League team the Tampa Tarpons in 1975 and moved their Spring Training operations to Fort Lauderdale Stadium. The team then became known as the Fort Lauderdale Yankees and trained there until 1987, when they moved to Haines City, Florida.

In 1990, the City of Fort Lauderdale demolishes Fort Lauderdale Stadium to make room for a new spring training facility for the Baltimore Orioles. Memorabilia from the old stadium was auctioned off, with the proceeds going to charity. An agreement was reached between the Yankees and the City of Fort Lauderdale in 1992 for the team to build a new spring training facility in Fort Lauderdale and move their operations back to the city. The new facility, named George M. Steinbrenner Field (nicknamed “The Bronx”), opened in 1993.

The Yankees have been based out of Greensboro, North Carolina since 2010. Prior to that, they had their spring training in Tampa, Florida.
