Where Do Yankees Players Live?

A quick google search shows that many Yankees players live in Westchester County, New York. But some live in Connecticut, New Jersey, and even Florida.

The Bronx

The Bronx is the northernmost borough of New York City, and it is also the only borough that is located on the mainland of the United States. The Bronx is home to Yankee Stadium, the site of many great baseball moments, as well as being the birthplace of hip-hop. The borough is also known for its diverse population, with people from all over the world calling the Bronx home.

Brooklyn

New York Yankees players living in Brooklyn is not uncommon. In fact, many of the team’s marquee players have chosen to reside in the borough, including Alex Rodriguez, Robinson Cano, and CC Sabathia. There are a number of reasons why these athletes have chosen to live in Brooklyn. First and foremost, it is geographically close to Yankee Stadium in the Bronx. This proximity allows them to quickly get to games and avoid traffic. Additionally, Brooklyn offers a number of luxury apartment complexes and townhomes that are perfect for families. Finally, living in New York City provides players with a sense of anonymity that they may not find elsewhere.

Manhattan

A number of Yankees players live in Manhattan, especially in the Upper West Side. Notable Yankees who have made the Upper West Side their home include Alex Rodriguez, Mark Teixeira, and CC Sabathia. All three of these Yankees have multimillion-dollar apartments overlooking Central Park. Other notable players who live in Manhattan include Robinson Cano, Curtis Granderson, and Brett Gardner.

Queens

The borough of Queens is home to several professional baseball players, including some members of the New York Yankees. The Yankees are a Major League Baseball team based in the Bronx, New York City. They are one of the American League’s eight charter teams.

One Yankee player who makes his home in Queens is third baseman Chase Headley. Headley was born in Fountain Valley, California, but he grew up in Denver, Colorado. He now lives in Bayside, Queens, with his wife and two young sons.

Other Yankee players who live in Queens include relief pitcher Dellin Betances and catcher Austin Romine. Betances was born in Washington Heights, Manhattan, but he grew up in Brooklyn and now lives in Whitestone, Queens. Romine was born in Syracuse, New York, but he grew up in Canton, Michigan. He now lives in Howard Beach, Queens.

Staten Island

Staten Island is one of the five boroughs of New York City, and is coextensive with Richmond County. It lies to the south-west of Manhattan, and is separated from it by the narrowest point in the harbor, approximately one-half mile (1 km) wide at its narrowest point. With an area of 58 square miles (150 km2), Staten Island is the least populated borough of New York City as a whole, but is still more populous than one hundred U.S. cities.
