The New York Yankees are a professional baseball team based in the New York City borough of the Bronx. The Yankees compete in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a member club of the American League (AL) East division. They are one of two major league clubs based in New York City, the other being the New York Mets of the National League.

The $2.3 billion ballpark, built on the former site of Yankee Stadium, opened in 2009 and is one of the most expensive sporting venues ever built.

The New York Botanical Garden
The New York Botanical Garden (NYBG) is a botanical garden and National Historic Landmark located in the Bronx, New York City. The 250-acre (100 ha) site contains an outdoor landscape with 50 different gardens and plant collections.
The NYBG’s conservatory is the largest Victorian glasshouse in the United States and contains 10 indoor gardens, including a butterfly house and an orchid showroom. The gardens contain more than one million living plants, including some of the oldest trees in the city.
The Brooklyn Dodgers was a Major League baseball team, active primarily in the National League from 1884 until 1957, after which the club moved to Los Angeles, where it continues its history as the Los Angeles Dodgers. The team moved west at the same time as its longtime rivals, the New York Giants, also in the National League, relocated to San Francisco in northern California in 1958.

The Brooklyn Botanic Garden
The Brooklyn Botanic Garden (BBG) is a botanical garden in Brooklyn, New York City. Founded in 1910 and opened to the public in 1912, it is the second largest botanical garden in New York City by area, after the Staten Island Botanical Garden. The 52-acre (21 ha) site includes a number of specialty “gardens within the Garden”, plant collections and the Steinhardt Conservatory, which houses the C. V. Starr Bonsai Museum and three indoor gardens. BBG is a member of both the American Public Gardens Association and the Center for Plant Conservation.
Prospect Park is a 585-acre (237 ha) public park in the New York City borough of Brooklyn. The park is situated between the neighborhoods of Park Slope, Prospect Heights, Crown Heights, Kensington, and Flatbush. It is the second largest public park in Brooklyn, behind Marine Park. The park retains much of its original design, including the longitude/latitude coordinate system and winding paths.

Flushing Meadows Corona Park
Flushing Meadows Corona Park is located in Queens, New York City. The park is the site of the United States Open Tennis Championships and is also home to the Queens Museum, the Queens Zoo, and Citi Field, the home of the New York Mets.
