They are best known for their chart-topping 1990 hit song, “High Enough”.

The band was formed in 1989 by singer/guitarist Jack Blades, guitarist Tommy Shaw, and drummer Michael Cartellone. The three had previously worked together in the group Night Ranger. Joining them was bassist Ted Nugent, who had recently left the group Amboy Dukes.

Blades was born in Long Beach, California, on August 3, 1954. He began playing music at an early age and was influenced by a wide range of genres, including rock, pop, and soul. He formed his first band, Rubix Kube, in high school. The band played around Southern California and released one album before disbanding.

Ted Nugent is an American hard rock musician from Detroit, Michigan. He first gained prominence as a member of the Amboy Dukes, a band known for their hit song “Journey to the Center of the Mind”. He went on to achieve success as a solo artist with hits like “Cat Scratch Fever” and “Stranglehold”. He has also been a outspoken supporter of the Second Amendment and hunting rights.
