Yankees vs. Rays

The New York Yankees will take on the Tampa Bay Rays in the AL Wild Card Game on Wednesday night. This will be the first meeting between the two teams in the playoffs since the 2017 ALDS. The Yankees are coming off a loss to the Rays in the regular season finale, while the Rays have won four straight games.

Game One

The first game of the ALDS will be played at Yankee Stadium on Friday, October 4th at 8:07 PM. The Yankees will be the home team and will be facing the Rays. This will be a best-of-five series, meaning that the first team to win three games will advance to the next round of the playoffs.

Game Two

The ALDS between the Yankees and Rays will continue on Friday night as Tampa Bay looks to even up the series at 1-1. Friday’s game is set to begin at 7:10 p.m. ET from Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida.

On the mound for the Yankees will be Masahiro Tanaka, who went 10-5 with a 3.74 ERA and 1.14 WHIP in 21 starts during the regular season. The 30-year-old right-hander had a 4.45 ERA and 1.32 WHIP in 11 starts on the road this season but he was excellent in his only start against the Rays, tossing seven shutout innings while allowing just two hits in a 5-0 win back on August 23rd.

Tanaka will be opposed by Rays’ left-hander Blake Snell, who went 6-8 with a 4.29 ERA and 1.27 WHIP in 23 starts during the regular season, including a 3-5 record and 5.38 ERA in 13 home starts. Snell was also roughed up by the Yankees in his only start against them this season, surrendering four runs (three earned) on eight hits while striking out eight over six innings of work in an 8-3 loss back on August 24th.

Both Tanaka and Snell struggled down the stretch as they combined to go 2-5 with a 6+ ERA over their final 10 starts of the regular season but both pitchers are more than capable of pitching well on any given night, making this game a tough one to predict.

Game Three

The 2019 American League Division Series continues on Monday, October 7th as the Tampa Bay Rays look to take a 3-0 lead over the New York Yankees in the best-of-five series. The Rays have won the first two games of the series, both by narrow margins. In Game One, the Rays won 3-2 after a ninth inning rally. Kevin Kiermaier hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the ninth to give Tampa Bay the victory.

In Game Two, it was a similar story as the Rays rallied for two runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to win 5-4. Yandy Diaz hit a go-ahead RBI double in that inning to help Tampa Bay take a 2-0 series lead.

The Yankees will now look to avoid being swept as they head back home for Game Three. New York will send out Masahiro Tanaka to the mound, while Tampa Bay will counters with Tyler Glasnow. First pitch is set for 7:07 p.m. ET from Yankee Stadium.

Yankees vs. Astros

The Yankees will be taking on the Astros in the next round of the playoffs. The Yankees have been looking strong lately and they will be looking to continue their winning ways. The Astros are a tough team, but the Yankees have what it takes to win.

Game One

The New York Yankees are set to take on the Houston Astros in Game One of the American League Championship Series. The Yankees are coming off a dramatic win over the Cleveland Indians in the ALDS, while the Astros swept the Boston Red Sox in their series.

This will be the first time these two teams have met in the postseason, and it should be a good one. The Yankees have one of the best offenses in baseball, while the Astros have one of the best pitching staffs.

The Yankees will be sending out Masahiro Tanaka to face off against Justin Verlander. Both pitchers are among the best in baseball, so this should be a great match-up.

First pitch is scheduled for 8:08 pm ET, and you can catch all the action on MLB Network.

Game Two

The American League Championship Series continues on Sunday, with the New York Yankees hosting the Houston Astros in Game 2. The Astros won Game 1 by a score of 7-0, behind a complete game from Justin Verlander.

The Yankees will look to even the series on Sunday, with Masahiro Tanaka taking the mound for them. Tanaka was excellent in his playoff start against the Minnesota Twins, pitching seven innings and allowing just one run. He’ll need to be at his best again if the Yankees want to avoid going down 2-0 in the series.

First pitch is scheduled for 8:08 p.m. ET, and the game will be broadcast on TBS.

Game Three

The New York Yankees will take on the Houston Astros in Game Three of the American League Championship Series on Tuesday night. The Yankees won the first game of the series, but the Astros evened things up with a win in Game Two. The winner of this series will advance to the World Series.

Yankees vs. Twins

The New York Yankees are set to take on the Minnesota Twins in the American League Divisional Series. The two teams last met in the playoffs in 2010, when the Twins won the series 3-0. This will be the first time the two teams have met in the playoffs since then.

Game One

The Twins have not faced the Yankees in the playoffs since 2010, when they were swept in the American League Division Series. The Yankees have won all five playoff meetings between the two teams, most recently in the 2017 AL Wild Card Game.

Game Two

The New York Yankees will take on the Minnesota Twins in game two of the American League Division Series on Friday night. The Twins won game one on Thursday, so the Yankees will be looking to even the series with a win.

The Yankees will send out Masahiro Tanaka to start game two, while the Twins will counter with Jose Berrios. Both teams will have their full complement of players available, so it should be a great game.

The first pitch is scheduled for 8:07pm ET and the game will be televised on FS1.

Game Three

The third game of the American League Division Series will be held on Monday, October 8 at 8:40 pm EDT at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, New York. The New York Yankees will face off against the Minnesota Twins, with the Twins currently leading the series two games to zero.
