LeMahieu, who is originally from Michigan, was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in 2009. He made his Major League debut with the Cubs in 2011, but was traded to the Colorado Rockies in 2012. He spent eight seasons with the Rockies, making two All-Star teams and winning three Gold Glove awards.
