Joe Girardi
Joe Girardi is an American professional baseball catcher, television commentator, and former manager of the New York Yankees. He played for the Chicago Cubs, Colorado Rockies, St. Louis Cardinals, and Yankees. Girardi served as the Yankees’ manager from 2008 to 2017.
Girardi was born in Peoria, Illinois. He attended Northwest Missouri State University, where he played college baseball for the Bearcats baseball team. The Chicago Cubs selected Girardi in the fifth round of the 1986 Major League Baseball (MLB) draft. He made his MLB debut with the Cubs in 1989 and compiled a .267 batting average during his four seasons with the team.
The Colorado Rockies selected Girardi in the 1992 MLB expansion draft and he became their regular catcher in 1993. In 1996, he batted .346 with career-highs in home runs (21) and runs batted in (70). The Marlins acquired him via trade following their 1997 championship season and he appeared with them in one game during the 1998 NL Division Series before they traded him to the Yankees after the season.
Girardi won three World Series championships as a player with the Yankees (1996, 1998–99), served as their backup catcher behind Jorge Posada from 2000–03, and returned as their starting catcher in 2004 until his retirement from playing baseball after the 2006 season.

Aaron Boone is an American former professional baseball infielder, broadcaster, and current manager of the New York Yankees. He is a two-time Emmy Award-winning television analyst who worked in that capacity for ESPN from 2010 to 2017, before being hired by the Yankees. Boone played in Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1997 through 2009 for the Cincinnati Reds, New York Yankees, Cleveland Indians, Florida Marlins, Washington Nationals, and Houston Astros. In 2003, he was an All-Star.

Josh Bard was hired as the new General Manager of the New York Yankees on November 4, 2017.
Bard, who is from Lexington, Kentucky, played Major League Baseball for nine seasons with the Cleveland Indians (2002-03), Colorado Rockies (2004-05), San Diego Padres (2006-09), Washington Nationals (2010), and Los Angeles Dodgers (2011). Bard also appeared in one game for Team USA during the 2006 World Baseball Classic.
