The ballpark is located in Central Islip, New York, on the site of the former Ebbets Field, which was demolished in 1960. Bethpage Ballpark opened on May 28, 1999, and has a capacity of 6,002 fans. The ballpark has been used by the Ducks as their home field since their inception in 2000.
Bethpage Ballpark has also been used as a filming location for movies and television shows. It was featured in the 2005 filmarent_wedding Reception (as Fenway Park), and was used as a stand-in for Wrigley Field in the 2009 film X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
